As vaccines roll out and our region continues on a path to recovery while we all do our part to keep each other safe, I am optimistic about the future. But there is no shortage of work to be done—particularly when it comes to maintaining safe, welcoming communities.
It is critical to stand up against hate in all its forms. Since 2016, my own daughters have been subject to comments akin to “go back to your own country” right here in our County. We cannot tolerate hate in any form and must all speak out to #StopAsianHate and maintain welcoming, inclusive communities.
As your County Supervisor, I’ll fight hard to maintain your family’s quality of life, fair treatment, and equal access to services regardless of circumstances – including advocating for our most vulnerable and expanding accessible, culturally competent services.
I am grateful to announce Stone for Supervisor Co-Chairs including San Mateo Councilmember Amourence Lee and Community Leader Annie Tsai, Foster City Mayor Sanjay Gehani and Vice Mayor Richa Awasthi, and Belmont Vice Mayor Julia Mates and Councilmember Davina Hurt. Please join our growing coalition by contributing today and adding your name as an endorser.
